NC Superfund Guidelines

The following guidelines will be in place for super fund distributions to chapters in 2012 providing funds are available. Chapter Presidents will need to complete an electronic Superfund Request form available at www.ncnwtf.com - under the chapter leader tab. Once the form is complete, please forward request to Bryan Perry at perrybryan@msn.com. Habitat work will be reviewed case by case.

  • WITO = $250 per event
  • Wheelin Events will be funded based on a tiered schedule developed from the previous year's events. Please refer below to view Wheelin Events reported to the State Chapter in 2011. The 2013 tiered schedule will be developed from Wheelin reporting forms received in 2012.
  • Jakes Events will be funded based on a tiered schedule developed from the previous year's event reports submitted. Please refer below to view Jakes Events reported to the State Chapter in 2011. The 2013 tiered schedule will be developed from Jakes reporting forms received in 2012.
  • Education Boxes will not be automatically sent, Chapters must request an Ed Box by June 15, 2012. A list will be submitted to Edgefield by June 30, 2012 to allow shipping of the Ed Boxes at the appropriate time. You do not have to wait until June to request it, if you know you want one sent. Submit your request to State Chapter President Bryan Perry or your Regional Director.
  • Local Chapter Scholarships = $250 per chapter. Timeframe is the same as last year. Applications should be received by the Local chapter by January 1, 2013; Local chapter should submit your winning package to Bryan Perry (State Chapter President) by February 1. One state winner will be chosen by February 15, and will receive the $1,500 state scholarship amount. The NC winner will be submitted by March 1 for consideration for the $10,000 National award.
  • Turkey Hunters Care = $100 per chapter.
To qualify for outreach distributions for 2012 an event must be registered through your local RD for insurance and liability coverage. A reporting form copy must be submitted to the State Chapter within 60 days of the event. The event must be open to its prospective target audience (Jakes Wheelin WITO). Jakes events must have a minimum of 15 participants. WITO events must have a minimum of 5 participants and Wheelin Events must have a minimum of 5 participants to receive superfund dollars.
Insurance requirement for 2012
Your Regional Director must complete an Outreach Event Registration Form and submit it 30 days prior to your event in order to have Insurance coverage. Be sure to include this in your event planning. Notifying them early will allow time to post your event on the State and National websites as well. Below is the completed 2010/2011 State budget and the proposed 2012 State Budget. This budget will be contingent on funds available.
2012 Jakes Event Superfund Guidelines
Jakes Event Superfund request for 2012 will be based on the tiered schedule established in 2011. Placement on the tier was determined from the 2011 Jakes reporting form for memberships submitted and received by 12/20/2011; as well as funds available in the super fund account. If super fund dollars were distributed in 2011 and no report was submitted; chapter will be eligible for the lower tier amount of $250 in 2012. If a chapter hosted an event in 2011 and submitted a report with no memberships they will be eligible for the lower tier amount of $250 in 2012. If a chapter is hosting a new event in 2012 and did not host an event in 2011 they will be eligible for the lower tier amount of $250. If two or more chapters combine to do an event only one chapter can request super fund money for that event. 2012 Event reports must be received in Edgefield within 60 days of the event. A copy of the reporting form must be submitted to Tim Draughon to be included in the Outreach fund Distribution. Tim's information can be found under the board members contacts. If your report is received within the 60 day period, and your event memberships qualify for a higher tier, additional funding to that tier level can be requested for 2012. The 2013 Tiered Funding Schedule will be determined based on your 2012 reports.
