2010 North Carolina NWTF State Awards Banquet

The North Carolina Chapter of the NWTF State Awards Banquet will be held on Friday March 5th at the Kerr Scott building on the North Carolina State Fairgrounds. Guest speakers will be NWTF National Spokesperson Michael Waddell of Realtree and The Bone Collector Series, NWTF CEO George Thornton and NWTF CCO Dr. James Earl Kennamer. We will also be raffling the 2010 NWTF core package along with many other prizes.  Money raised at the event will be used to fund North Carolina NWTF Jakes -youth programs. Ticket price includes dinner and a chance for a Marlin XL7-C 25/06 in Realtree APG door prize. We hope you will join us to recognize all the hard work done by NWTF members and chapters in our state. Banquet activities begin at 6:00 PM.

Tickets can be purchased for $45.  Some tickets will be available at the door; however advance purchase is highly recommended.  Sponsor tables can be purchased in advanced for $1000.This includes 8 banquet tickets, $200 in raffle tickets, one Remington 870 Black Supermag and one Duane Raver framed print which was painted specifically for the NC-NWTF. A maximum of 400 tickets will be available for this event and due to speaker popularity, tickets are going fast. If you plan on coming we will need to know as soon as possible. Please come join us for a great weekend with fun for the kids, and anything you could ever want for your hunting needs.

2010 Dixie Deer Classic – March 5, 6, 7, 2010
Once again we are partnering with the Wake County Wildlife Club to host NC-NWTF events at the Dixie Deer Classic.  The Wake County Wildlife Club, NCNWTF and other wildlife conservation groups will host the new “Take a Walk on the Wild Side” and “Outdoor Lore” youth day events. We will be hosting our second annual Call Makers Competition. Last year’s competition was an unbelievable success and we plan for this year to be even better. If you are a professional call builder or just starting out, join us and show off your talents. We will also be holding the North Carolina Dixie Deer Classic Tarheel Open sanctioned calling contest on Saturday March 6th starting at 10:00am. Come join us for NWTF Q&A sessions with NC Board Members and National Staff.  This will be a weekend full of fun for the whole family.
